The last thing you want to find is that you ended up stuck holding the bag on a stock for days or weeks because it suddenly dropped quickly and you were looking for a recovery. This is how people get stuck in ruts that they were supposed to have avoided altogether.

The second thing I would suggest doing is setting limits on the side of your gains too. Don’t be greedy, and make it a goal to gain a certain amount on each purchase before backing out. This discipline will lead to much larger gains over the long haul.
