There is no difference between an intra day trader and a daily drunkard. The quicker you realize it the better it is for your financial health. All the same best of luck.

You need to back-test you technical analysis studies on each of the stocks to see if your TA works.
Some work well with certain TA studies, some work better with others. Most brokers offer charting that supports back testing, like Tradestation, TD Ameritrade, etc. (in the US).
Obviously, volume, liquidity, and a tight spread is very important in intra-day trading. Make sure you have all in any stock that you pick.
What TA indicators are you using, if I can ask?
