As an example, some people made money betting on GM stock when it fell below $1 but like most penny stocks, it became totally worthless when no one would bid $0.01 for the shares. Investing in penny stocks is much like betting with a friend. You just hope that you play the game better than the other guy. Sometimes you do better and some times you don’t and there isn’t much you can do to improve your odds except to try to figure out where the high and low is at on gut feeling.

So, I have been playing fantasy stock market for awhile, and I have a really good grasp of penny stocks. I am ready to invest with real money, but I want to start with a small amount of money. Like $100. What is a good online broker to use? I heard Zecco. Does anyone know anything about this company? Thank you for your help!!

This is not going to be the answer you want to hear, but it is 100% accurate.

Investing just $100 is not advisable. Even cheap online commissions ($7 each way) would be far too large a percentage for your trading to ever be profitable.

Fantasy trading is not the same as real trading. Bid/Ask spreads on penny stocks are huge. Your live returns would be dramatically lower than play returns.

Penny stocks are full of scams. Your question will probably draw responses from some regular spammers like pennystockprophet, killerpennystocks, *notlong*, *tinyurl*, onelinebusinessmall.

To be blunt, penny stocks are a stupid speculation, not an investment.

Best advice is to read a few books to learn about investing. Here are a few classics.

One Up On Wall Street – Peter Lynch

no such thing as "good" penny stocks and you are much more likely to lose money with them than make money – they are extremely risky, could be price manipulated by insiders, and the companies are usually losing massive amounts of money, so it would be stupid to invest in them, plus may be hard to sell at the price you want – especially if too many shares are trying to be sold at once (and penny stock trading volumes are a fraction of what bigger companies are) and the price could plunge and your potential gain could turn into a loss by the time all your shares are sold – anyone who claims to actually make money on a regular basis is either extremely lucky, a liar or a paid shill

I think E-Z-trader on the internet would be a good place to start. Also, do some internet research.

most of the companies has HUGE losses, low sales and/or may be bogus and stock prices can be manipulated by insiders
